Institute 4 (ticket)
Lifelong Learning Institute: Module 7: Neuroscience, Pediatric and Neurologic Consultative Issues, Bereavement, Death and Dying, Medical/Psychiatric Interface (Factitious Disorders, Sleep Disorders, Somatoform Disorders), and Relevant Updates for Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists
This year’s Lifelong Learning Institute looks into Module 7, which focuses on neuroscience, pediatric and neurologic consultative issues, bereavement, death and dying, deaf, and medical/psychiatric interface. In addition, the module and Institute focus on seminal articles on topics such as ADHD, bipolar disorder, conduct disorder published in the last year. With the Maintenance of Certification requirements in effect, this special Institute is designed for all child and adolescent psychiatrists who are working on the lifelong learning and self-assessment component of Maintenance of Certification. In addition, this Institute is a great review of the current literature, pertinent to anyone who wants to keep current with important issues facing practicing child and adolescent psychiatrists.

AACAP’s Work Group on Lifelong Learning was created to assist members with the lifelong learning and self-assessment requirements as well as preparing for the cognitive exam. Among the Work Group’s initiatives is the production of this series of modules containing relevant literature on targeted topics in child and adolescent psychiatry, which also include the most up-to-date literature published for the practicing child and adolescent psychiatrist. Plan to attend this Institute, which offers ABPN-approved, specialty-specific CME credit on today’s important topics.
