POSTER sessions are two and one half hours in duration. Posters are the format of choice for data-rich research or clinical reports. Posters that have been accepted in the past have been hypothesis driven, not just descriptive. They have included data tables, data graphs, and suitable statistical tests. Acceptance of a poster for presentation is an honor, and it holds the same status as any other Annual Meeting presentation. In addition to offering an opportunity for clear and detailed presentation of the data, there is a greater opportunity for interaction and discussion between the author and interested attendees.

Posters are generally not suitable for single case presentations. Use the Clinical Case Conference format instead for case presentations. When preparing the poster submission, please indicate the method of subject diagnostic ascertainment, description of the sample frame the subject was drawn from, and a description of the recruitment methods. IRB approval is required if human subjects are involved. There are two Poster deadlines: February 15, 2013 and June 17, 2013. The second opportunity is only for Posters with data available after the February submission deadline. Primary Authors present data in tabular or graphic form on an 8 ft. long by 4 ft. wide poster board or smaller. Approximately 350 Poster presentations are available.

All accepted posters must display all disclosures for the presenter and all of the authors (financial conflicts of interest, honoraria, travel grants, etc.) in the top right hand corner of the poster in at least 12 point font. Failure to disclose will result in eviction from the poster session.
