Begin a submission

SPECIAL INTEREST STUDY GROUPS (SIGs) are one and one half hours in duration. All Special Interest Study Groups must submit a complete Call for Papers annually to be considered for the scientific program of the Annual Meeting. SIGs are ticketed events for a maximum attendance of 25 registrants that are held simultaneously late on Friday afternoon. The chair or co-chair of a SIG must be an AACAP member. AACAP recommends no more than five presenters per SIG.

SIGs allow individuals with similar interests to share their clinical or research experience, develop collaborations or networks, or discuss mutual interests. It is a particularly useful event for emerging or ongoing collaborative groups. Approximately 12 SIG spaces are available.

The following information is required:
  • The title of the submission
  • The chair’s affiliation and email address
  • Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethics Committee review status, if applicable
  • Educational learning objectives
  • Professional Practice Gap Identification
  • One Review Abstract for the entire Special Interest Study Group
  • Names, affiliations, email addresses, contact information, and disclosure of conflicts of affiliation for all co-presenters.

Special Interest Study Groups do not require a Proceedings Abstract.
