SPECIAL INTEREST STUDY GROUPS (SIGs) are 1.5 hours in duration. SIGs are ticketed events (tickets are free) for a maximum attendance of 25 registrants that are held concurrently on Friday afternoon. All SIGs must submit a complete Call for Papers annually to be considered for the scientific program of the Annual Meeting. The chair or co-chair of a SIG must be an AACAP member. AACAP recommends no more than 3 presenters per SIG.

SIGs allow participants to share their clinical or research experience, develop collaborations or networks, or discuss mutual interests. It is a particularly useful event for emerging or ongoing collaborative groups. Approximately 12 SIG spaces are available.

The following information is required:

  • The title of the submission
  • The chair’s organization and email address
  • Educational learning objectives
  • Professional Practice Gap Identification
  • One Review Abstract for the entire Special Interest Study Group
  • Names, organizations, email addresses, contact information, and disclosure of conflicts of affiliation for all co-presenters
  • Special Interest Study Groups do not require a Proceedings Abstract
