Workshop 13 (sold out)
Telepsychiatry 101: a Short Course on Starting a Service

Interactive videoteleconferencing (IVTC) is increasingly used to deliver specialty medical care to underserved populations. One of the most popular applications of IVTC has been telepsychiatry. The ability of telepsychiatry to increase access for children and adolescents to needed services in their own communities or in diverse treatment centers has been well documented, participants are highly satisfied with their care, and programs exist through major medical centers and in the private sector. This Workshop provides a broad learning and experiential opportunity for participants to gain knowledge and skills needed to establish a telepsychiatry practice.
