Interactive videoteleconferencing (IVTC) is increasingly used to deliver specialty medical care to underserved populations. One of the most popular applications of IVTC has been telepsychiatry. In this Special Interest Study Group, participants learn about the clinical applications of telepsychiatry, the use of telepsychiatry to serve youth in diverse settings such as primary care, schools, mental health centers, residential centers, or corrections, and about the financial issues related to starting and sustaining a telepsychiatric practice.
