Workshop 4 (sold out)
Video Gaming 101: a Guide into the World of Children and Video Games, Clinical Implications

The increase in video game popularity has caused many, including the American Medical Association, to question how gaming is impacting our children. Time that was previously spent on sports, studies, and other activities is being replaced by time in front of a television or computer screen. This Workshop increases the knowledge and familiarity of clinicians about the clinical implications of video games and how inquiring about video game play may be incorporated into a cultural assessment of the child and family.
