Advanced Psychopharmacology Institute: Translating Recent Psychopharmacological Research Findings into Clinical Care

This Institute provides clinicians with an update on recent psychopharmacotherapy trials, accompanied by implications for clinical practice. The presentations include updates and discussions of pediatric psychopharmacology for the treatment of ADHD, autism, depression, psychosis, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. Additional topics include monitoring and management of adverse effects, as well as clinically relevant information pertaining to pharmacokinetics. Recent literature is reviewed, with a particular emphasis placed on recent NIMH-funded multimodal clinical trials. Awareness of recent psychopharmacology research and the application of this information can inform and positively impact patient care.
