Basic Concepts in Mentalizing Therapy with Adolescents with Emerging Personality Disorders and Self Harming Behaviors
Mentalizing-based treatment (MBT) has developed over the last two decades as a coherent conceptual framework and is an increasingly empirically supported approach to borderline personality disorder, eating disorders, and self-harming behaviors. Participants learn how MBT theory and practice is built upon the latest attachment and affect regulation neuroscience research and acquire basic skills in utilizing a mentalizing therapy approach for working with adolescent who have disruptive behaviors and emerging personality disorders. Participants receive MBT manuals as well as copies of the presentation.
