There is minimal literature on how to treat an adolescent with an eating disorder and what appears to be a budding personality disorder. Through case analysis attendees are able to appreciate the impact culture has on eating disorders; see the impact of disrupted attachments early in life that effect treatment; understand how to treat eating disorders in the context of a patient who also meets criteria for a personality disorder; and see how to utilize the family in treating patients with eating disorders.
