This open forum focuses on the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) requirements, what you need to be doing now, and the future of MOC. A special guest, Larry Faulkner, M.D., President and CEO of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, is on hand to provide an overview of the MOC program and discuss its rationale, current status, and future directions from the point of view of “deliberate practice,” which addresses the inherent responsibility of the physician to work toward performance improvement. Sandra Sexson, M.D. and Andrew Russell, M.D., co-chairs of the Lifelong Learning Committee, are also there to guide you through this complex process and explain what AACAP is doing for its members.
