Diagnosing Infants and Young Children: Diagnostic Classification: 0-3R™ with DSM-5

This Workshop provides an opportunity for clinicians, and those with training and supervisory responsibilities, to intensively review and begin using the organizing principles of the DC: 0-3R™ including Axes I-V, in conjunction with DMS-5. Presenters will highlight differences between the 1994 and 2005 editions as well as detail a brief history of the development and publications of the two editions and of the new DSM-5. Then, they will discuss the evolving use of the diagnostic system for clinical research and for statewide and international training. Participants’ best practice and knowledge of emerging research with an integrated view of each young child as his/her biological potential unfolds in the context of his/her ongoing care-giving environment in enhanced.
