Acceptance and Commitment Therapy: Enhancing Clinician Skills for Increasing Psychological Flexibility

This Workshop provides attendees first-hand, experiential exposure to the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Hexaflex Model and its six component processes. ACT is an evidence-based treatment offering therapeutic interventions designed to help individuals achieve greater psychological flexibility by becoming more aware in the here and now; more open to staying connected with their actual experiences, even if accompanied by distress and challenging to their usual self-narrations; and more engaged in sustaining a committed course of action based in deeply held values.
