The ABCs of Applied Behavior Analysis and Related Techniques for Autism Intervention: Demonstration and Didactics

Finding successful interventions for children with autism and related disorders can be a daunting task. This Workshop provides practical, meaningful, “real life” exposure to Applied Behavior Analysis and related interventions, including life skills, speech therapy, augmented communication, and speech-generated devices. Useful information is provided as to why these interventions are effective from a neurological, developmental, behavioral, and educational perspective. Participants gain clinical knowledge about how to choose the best interventions for each patient. An overview of available resources is provided and strategies to use when advocating for services are discussed.
