Normal Development: A Review with Video Examples
Teaching normal development using stimulus video of real children growing up from infancy through adolescence is an effective way to bring teaching points to life, engage students, and enhance higher-order learning and retention. Using active discussion of short video examples of two children growing up in the context of family and community allows attendees to achieve a better basic understanding of major developmental theories from birth through adolescence. Educators learn how to improve teaching of normal development through the use of stimulus videotape.
