Community-Based Systems of Care

This SIG encourages child and adolescent psychiatrists in community-based systems of care to discuss their experiences and to share potential solutions to specific problems. Topics covered include recent trends and directions in systems of care, such as application of systems of care approaches to infants and young children; the integration of mental health services in schools; what is happening in child welfare and juvenile justice systems; child psychiatry consultation programs to pediatricians; psychotropic medication monitoring programs; updates on evidence-based interventions; and innovative funding strategies and mechanisms for integrating services and funding streams through a wraparound model of care.
