Workshop 37 (ticket)
The Diagnosis of Infants and Young Children: "Hands-On" Diagnostic Classification: 0-3R With DSM-5

Clinicians, supervisors, and researchers review and begin using the organizing principles of the Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health and Developmental Disorders of Infancy and Early Childhood Revised™ (DC: 0-3R™) in conjunction with DSM-5. Participants learn how the DSM-5’s developmental conceptualization incorporates research on the influences of culture, gender, genetics, and neurodevelopment that complement the DC: 0-3R™. Participants gain skill in guided observation, diagnoses, and initial treatment planning using all five DC: 0-3R™ Axes and DSM-5; and use DC: 0-3R™ structured observations and data collection tools to integrate assessment findings into a cohesive formulation and treatment plan for the youngest children.
