Workshop 7 (sold out)
Technology: Preparing for Practice in the Mobile Health Era

The widespread availability of the Internet and the proliferation of personal computing devices are changing the world in which we work. Child and adolescent psychiatrists become familiar with current, trending computer applications and websites that, when carefully and conscientiously used, have great potential to enhance practice and improve therapeutic alliance with children and adolescents; gain insight into the virtual world surrounding young patients and become more comfortable with online terminology; and learn ways to safely incorporate technology in clinical practice through Web spaces and/or streamlining administrative tasks. Share information with colleagues and fosters a more technologically savvy professional culture. Telemedicine is addressed briefly.
