Members of the AACAP Ethics Committee provide a forum for sharing difficult questions and problems related to professional ethics and offer an opportunity for personal and informal consultation. Several ethical dilemmas currently facing child and adolescent psychiatrists in clinical, administrative, consultative, research, and academic settings are discussed. Members learn about available resources to help address ethical issues in their practices, and about the role ethical reasoning plays in arriving at resolutions. You may share a vignette describing an ethical matter you are engaged in or have encountered in practice or scholarship and are encouraged to provide a written description of the dilemma for future educational purposes.
