Institute (ticket)
Practical Pediatric Psychopharmacology for the Primary Care Practitioner and Early Career Psychiatrist
This Institute provides practical information to early career psychiatrists and primary care clinicians on the use of psychotropic medications; introducing them to the basics that enable them to responsibly use these medications for common pediatric mental health disorders including: attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, and aggression in autism spectrum disorder. Awareness of recent research and the application of practical clinical information pertaining to pediatric psychopharmacology are combined to help early career psychiatrists and primary care physicians identify key mental health disorders as they present in the office, as well as increase their comfort level in treating common childhood psychiatric disorders with pharmacotherapy.
