This Workshop describes the delivery of Cognitive-Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS) in New York City public schools to treat children who have experienced a diverse set of traumatic events, e.g., parental incarceration, community violence, and natural disaster exposure; and provides participants with the fundamental skills to use CBITS. It also illustrates ways to flexibly disseminate CBITS while maintaining fidelity of the treatment. Case presentations illustrate ways to adapt CBITS for children experiencing traumatic grief, children experiencing ongoing traumatic stress, and children with burgeoning metacognitive abilities.
