This Workshop provides participants with a better grasp of how to apply cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques to treat college and university students with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and how to help them implement coping strategies to improve their daily functioning. Topics include how to prepare specific therapy goals with patients who are attending college or university; how to utilize practical intervention strategies to address procrastination, disorganization, and time management problems commonly reported in students with ADHD; identify how distorted thoughts may undermine coping efforts in these patients; and how to implement strategies to help these students improve follow-through on the use of coping skills.
