TRAINEE CASE PRESENTATION
Session Length: 2.5 hours
Number of Presenters: 1-2

FORMAT

A Trainee Case Presentation provides an opportunity for students, residents, and fellows to present interesting or challenging clinical cases as part of the 2.5-hour Trainee Case Presentation Session a session organized by AACAP. Each presentation submitted may include no more than two (2) students/trainees as presenters.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

All information presented should be deidentified. Acceptance will be based on cases that are novel, complex, well-written, highlighting clinical dilemmas clearly, presented from multiple lenses, with assigned roles of multiple presenters clearly outlined. The selection committee aims to represent a broad variety of topics to engage an audience with diverse interests. Such topics might include cultural psychiatry, ethics, forensics, psychopathology, psychopharmacology, psychosomatics, psychotherapy, systems of care, or any other intriguing topic relevant to the practice of child and adolescent psychiatry.

If accepted, individual case presentations will be given up to ten (10) minutes to present the accepted material and will be followed by discussion with a panel of national experts in child and adolescent psychiatry (panel arranged by AACAP). These experts may ask the trainees clarifying questions in a supportive manner, or may share clinical insights, experiences, or pearls.
