CLINICAL CONSULTATION BREAKFASTS Session Length: 1.5 hours Number of Presenters: 1-3 FORMAT A Clinical Consultation Breakfast is a forum for an expert or experts to share clinical wisdom and discuss difficult cases which are ideally brought by attendees. The emphasis should be on case and clinical consultation directed at material offered by participants. Discussions often include diagnosis, treatment, or other clinical issues. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Clinical Consultation Breakfasts are ticketed events. Attendance is limited to 15 participants in addition to the presenter(s). These sessions should facilitate conversation in the small group. As such, slides should not be used, and audiovisual equipment will not be available at the meeting. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS Each submission for a Clinical Consultation Breakfast should include the following items:
Content Addressing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: AACAP has a strong commitment to promoting mental health equity and combating health disparities. We support cultural competency efforts that enable practitioners to care effectively for patients from diverse cultures, groups, and communities. For each program related to patient care AACAP encourages presenters to include relevant information on differences in prevalence, diagnosis, and treatment pertaining to diverse racial and ethnic populations. AACAP will accept approximately twelve (12) Clinical Consultation Breakfasts this year. All Clinical Consultation Breakfasts must submit a complete proposal each year to be considered for the scientific program at the Annual Meeting.
