OTHER PROGRAM
Session Length: Varies
Number of Presenters: Varies

FORMAT

If a proposal does not fit into a specific category of programming, submit it as an “Other Program.” This may include a committee-sponsored social event, a new educational session, or a caucus.

STANDARD ROOM SETUP AND AV

An Other Program will be in a room with theatre style seating or round tables. A podium and head table will be provided for presenters. This session type will have a screen, a projector, one podium microphone, and one to three tabletop microphones (depending on room size). Different room setup requests and/or additional AV requests will be considered but cannot be guaranteed.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Each submission for an “Other Program” should include the following items:

  • Submission Title
  • Chair(s) name, affiliation, and email address(es)
  • At least two (2) educational learning objectives
  • Expected length of program
  • Review Abstract
  • Names, organizations, contact information, email addresses, and disclosures for all co-presenters and discussants.

The review abstract should provide sufficient details about teaching methods, how the time will be used, and the role of each presenter so the Program Committee can fully understand your proposal.

CONTENT ADDRESSING DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION

AACAP has a strong commitment to promoting mental health equity and combating health disparities. We support cultural competency efforts that enable practitioners to care effectively for patients from diverse cultures, groups, and communities. For each program related to patient care AACAP encourages presenters to include relevant information on differences in prevalence, diagnosis, and treatment pertaining to diverse racial and ethnic populations.

Questions regarding Other Programs can be directed to the Program Committee’s Chair, James J. McGough, MD, at jmcgough@mednet.ucla.edu.
