Special Interest Study Group 12 (sold out)
Tourette's Disorder and Related Disorders
Recent advances in neuro-histobiology, molecular genetics, electrophysiology, and immunobiology offer new clues to potential factors that cause or exacerbate Tourette’s disorder and related disorders. Across the broad spectrum of clinical presentation of these conditions, which vary widely in severity, course, and comorbidity, the long-term management of these patients and the support of their families pose a challenge for clinicians. This SIG permits participants to share clinical experiences and research, and to discuss recent advances in understanding the pathobiology, epidemiology, natural history, and clinical management of these disorders.
