Problem-Based Learning in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Problem-Based Learning (PBL) represents a major development and change in educational practice that is having an increasing impact across disciplines. Today, PBL is used in many medical schools around the world. Reviews report that PBL graduates have better interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, and information gathering skills, and are more self-directed. This SIG promotes knowledge of PBL in child and adolescent psychiatry training, exploring national and international collaborations, curriculum development, and techniques for evaluation of PBL in child and adolescent psychiatry, and problems with PBL and the search for solutions through research.
