Clinicians and administrators working in inpatient psychiatry units, residential facilities, detention centers, group homes, and therapeutic day schools all benefit from an increased awareness of changes in the philosophy behind and practice of restraint and have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues on common efforts to establish restraint prevention programs.
