Family Interventions for Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists
Clinical work for a child and adolescent psychiatrist often means interacting with families. At times, family concerns and difficulties may get in the way of successful treatment and actually amplify the child’s problems. It is essential that child and adolescent psychiatrists interact with families in a consistently productive fashion to promote successful treatment. This session reviews family interventions and family therapy in a manner that enhances the child and adolescent psychiatrist’s effectiveness when working with children and their families.
